The Punjab government led by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz come up with good news to support the welfare of the people and farmers. A new initiative is offering 1000 Free Tractors and Land Levellers to wheat farmers to enhance wheat production and assist agricultural growth.
1000 Free Tractors, Land Levellers for Farmers in Punjab
At the launch ceremony of the Green Tractor Scheme, Maryam Nawaz announced that 1,000 tractor and 1,000 land levelers would be provided to farmers growing wheat on land ranging from 12 to 25 hectares. This initiative will mainly assist small farmers with the objective of increasing crop yields and reducing their difficulties. She further stated to the farming community that our Kisan brothers aren’t alone, and we started this new project to support them in every aspect.
Punjab Free Tractors and Land Levellers Registration Process
Farmers who wish to join this scheme can easily register soon through the Agriculture Department’s Facebook page or the official portal https://gts.punjab.gov.pk. The selection process will start in a few months and includes balloting to maintain transparency.
Additional Benefits for Kisan Cardholders
Kisan cardholders will also get additional benefits, like the ability to buy agricultural seed of premium quality with no interest, soil-enhancing fertilizers, agrochemicals, and insecticides with zero interest rates. The objective of this scheme is to reduce financial burden while improving crop quality and quantity.
Switch To Solar-powered Tube Wells
The CM Punjab planned another step to convert 7,000 fuel-fed tube wells to solar power. This will help Kisans reduce their electricity bills and focus on improving wheat production.
