The government of Pakistan released a notification for the expansion of the Benazir Kafalat Program, increasing the number of beneficiaries getting the monthly stipend of Rs. 13,500. By the end of December 2024, BISP will include 7 lac more families in the program across Pakistan.
Registrations are open, and time is short. If you think you qualify for the Rs. 13,500 Kafaalat stipend or the Taleemi Wazaif payment, visit your nearest Tehsil office to complete the survey.
BISP Registration Process for New Entries
Here’s how women can register for the Benazir Kafalat Program and get the cash grant directly into their accounts:
- Check your CNIC status through the 8171 webpage.
- If eligible, you’ll receive an SMS from 8171 confirming your status.
- Visit the nearest HBL, BAFL POS, or store in your Tehsil with your original CNIC to collect the first payment after biometric thumb verification.
- You can collect subsequent installments from POS/retailers or ATMs.
If the BISP portal hasn’t registered your CNIC, then go through these four essential steps:
- Ensure your household meets the income criteria.
- Only married women with valid CNICs are eligible.
- Once confirmed, you will receive a message on your mobile number.
- Visit the designated POS to collect your cash grant.
- If you have any complaints or issues, then you can visit your closest BISP Tehsil office.
CNIC Verification at the 8171 Web Portal
BISP keeps the beneficiaries updated when the new payments arrive; therefore, in order to verify your eligibility, use the 8171 portal on your mobile device or computer:
- Utilize your mobile phone and visit the BISP 8171 Portal at https://8171.bisp.gov.pk/.
