Many beneficiaries of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) and those who wish to join it may need to know its purpose and requirements. This Programme aims to assist women from the poorest families who struggle to meet their basic needs. Through BISP, the government provides financial assistance to these women to help them support their families and ensure better education for their children through initiatives like Benazir Taleemi Wazaif.
BISP Progam Financially Supports Needy Women Only
In a recent live session, Rubina Khalid clarified that men are not eligible to register with BISP using their own CNIC. Only women relatives such as mothers, sisters, or eligible wives with valid CNICs can apply for the Benazir Kafaalat Programme. To begin registration, they must visit a BISP Tehsil office to take the NSER survey.
For more information, watch Rubina Khalid’s live session on BISP.
Men Cannot Register To Receive BISP Payments
There is a misconception that men can also register with BISP and receive the monthly Kafalat payment of Rs 10500. This belief is wrong. BISP aims to support poor women in Pakistan and help them and their children improve their living conditions.
