The Secretary General of Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) recently met with his team to discuss the updates of the new dynamic survey and clear any confusion regarding the latest registration of NSER by Tehsil offices. BISP conducts these dynamic surveys across Pakistan so that new applicants can register and existing beneficiaries can update their information.

As per the latest data from the BISP web portal, more than 35 million people have already been registered and surveyed, and the process is still underway at the offices and centres across the country. Once the information is collected, the beneficiaries will be shortlisted based on their PMT results to identify the families who are most eligible for the next tranche of Benazir Kafaalat payment.

The NSER survey, similar to a national census, was resumed in 2021 under the name dynamic register. It covered 90% of Pakistan’s population and the data collected is shared with other official services for validation.

BISP Dynamic Survey update for September 2024

Thousands of people visit BISP Tehsil offices daily to complete their CNIC verification under the new dynamic registration process. To check your registration status, you can visit the BISP online portal and use your 13-digit CNIC number.

If you have recently completed your survey, follow the instructions on the BISP website to track your new dynamic online registration.

How to Check CNIC Registration for Dynamic Survey 8171

If you have registered through the NSER survey, BISP will notify you of your registration via SMS “8171” within a few days. You can also check your status online by:

  1. By visiting the BISP website: https://bisp.gov.pk/.
  2. Selecting the “Check Eligibility” option.
  3. Enter your CNIC number and click submit.
  4. Your PMT score will be displayed on the next page.

BISP’s objective is to support people without making them completely dependent

The program’s policy has been criticized, with some saying it promotes begging. However, BISP chairperson Rubina Khalid clarified that the initiative is aimed at providing temporary financial assistance and not comprehensive financial assistance. The objective is to bridge the gap between the monthly incomes of the beneficiaries.

Who is eligible for BISP financial assistance

The BISP Program is aimed at citizens of Pakistan living below the poverty line. To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Be at least 18 years old and in need of assistance.
  • Be a woman with a valid national identity card.
  • Be a single, widowed, or divorced woman.
  • Be part of a family whose members are physically or mentally challenged.
  • Have a poverty score of less than thirty.
