There is an important update for all those who are joining the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) and intend to register for the increased amount of Rs 13500. After four years, BISP has introduced a new payment procedure to make it easier for new and existing beneficiaries of the Kafaalat Program to receive the complete amount at nearby partner bank branches. This change will significantly reduce the travel distance for the beneficiaries.
BISP to Change the Payment System After Four Years
In a TV program, Naveed Akbar, Director General of BISP, recently shared an update on deductions from monthly Kafaalat installments. To address this issue, BISP is transitioning to a more digital and transparent payment method that will reduce payment deductions and eliminate the need for people to undertake long and frequent journeys to receive their monthly stipend.
BISP has now partnered with six more banks and asked them to set up at least two collection points in each Union Council zone. This change will enable beneficiaries in rural areas to easily get their payments without having to travel long distances.
New Kafaalat Payment System for Distribution of Rs 13500
BISP also announced a 20% increase in its quarterly payment, in line with the directives of President Asif Ali Zardari and the Government of Pakistan. This increase in installments means that all eligible women will receive Rs 13500 from January 2025 through a new transparent banking system.
Beneficiaries can now withdraw their Rs 13500 from any designated ATM through biometric verification, thus avoiding long queues and delays. This effort will improve convenience and comfort while the government bears additional costs and ensures that beneficiaries receive the complete amount.

Last Words
The BISP has developed the new Kafaalat payment system to improve accessibility and convenience for beneficiaries. By onboarding more partner banks, Jazzcash and Easypaisa, beneficiaries no longer have to travel long distances or stand in long queues to receive their payments. The new system provides greater transparency, minimises payment deductions, and increases the payment amount to Rs 13500, ensuring timely assistance to those needy women.
