The Punjab government has launched the Kisan Card, an initiative to help farmers who have shut down their farms due to financial difficulties. This program provides free loans and stipends to help 40,000 farmers get back on their feet. With this card, farmers can easily withdraw money from ATMs or use it for purchases at fertilizer shops.

To get these loans, farmers must first register for the Kisan Card.

• The farmer must own up to 12.5 ha of land.
• The farmer’s CNIC must have the mobile phone SIM card registered.
• We will verify the applicant’s ID card using government databases and information from NADRA.
• Farmers whose land records are in the PLRA are eligible for the loan.
• If you made on-time payments, you can apply for another loan after six months.

Online Application for Kisan Card

Eligible farmers can easily apply for the Kisan Card online. If you have internet availability, follow these six steps to register through the Agriculture Tehsil office:

1. Create a mobile account or wallet.
2. Buy Kisan Tokens for Rs 500.
3. Complete the application process at the Tehsil office.
4. Submit the required documents.
5. You will receive a confirmation SMS after submitting your request.
6. The Tehsil office issues the Kisan Card.

Kisan Card Registration Process at Tehsil Offices

Farmers without internet access can register at the nearest agriculture center. Here’s how:

1. Go to your district agriculture office.
2. Discuss your situation with the staff.
3. Provide the required documents.
4. After submission, we issue the Kisan Card.

Farmer Card Application via SMS

There is an additional method to apply for a Punjab Kisan Card via SMS.

1. Open your phone’s messaging app.
2. Type pkc <space> CNIC number.
3. Send it to 8070.
4. Make sure your balance is sufficient to send the SMS.
5. If you are eligible, you will receive an SMS response.
6. Farmers can collect their Kisan Card from the Tehsil office within 15-20 days.
