The Benazir Income Support Program has released the latest payment transfer report from its campsites, showing the transparent and decent cash distribution process for women.
BISP New Payment Transfer Report Shows Full Transparency: Monitored by the DG Naveed Akbar
During a recent visit to campsites in Peshawar, BISP Director General Naveed Akbar talked to the women receiving payments to ensure the process was secure and transparent. Feedback from Benazir Kafaalat beneficiaries confirmed they were receiving their cash without unnecessary delays or deductions; this shows an improvement in the payment system. If you want to know about the complete report, then visit the BISP official page.
Improvement in the Old Banking System
Previously, only two banks handled payments for 9.5 million beneficiaries, which often caused delays. The upgraded system now adds six banks so that the process is easier and more efficient. Beneficiaries now report being able to collect their cash in a single visit, reducing the burden of multiple trips.
December and January Payments
At present, each beneficiary receives Rs. 10,500 through a biometric verification system at campsites to make sure funds disburse to the eligible beneficiaries. From January 2025, this amount will increase by Rs. 3,000, so the total amount will be Rs. 13,500 per family. This change will expand the program’s scope to 10 million families.
Verifying New Installments for the BISP Program
Beneficiaries can easily check their eligibility using the BISP 8171 Web Portal by entering their CNIC number and verification code. Once submitted, the portal will confirm their payment status.
BISP Eligibility Conditions
BISP targets low-income households, especially single mothers, through specific eligibility conditions. Applicants must:
- Be Pakistani residents with a valid CNIC.
- Belong to a low-income household with a PMT (Poverty Scorecard) score below the required threshold.
- Be registered with the National Socio-Economic Registry (NSER).
- Have one eligible woman per family.
Last Words: Supporting Families Through Change
With these changes, BISP shows their strong commitment to helping poor families across Pakistan. The new payment system with regular monitoring ensures timely and correct distribution. The next month, January 2025, an increase in payments indicates that it will give more meaningful assistance to the needy people.
