Good news for people joining the Benazir Kafaalat program! Thanks to the dedicated efforts of new BISP Chairperson Rubina Khalid, the Benazir Income Support Program, in partnership with the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), is upgrading its payment system. The objective of this upgrade is to make payments smoother and more transparent so that eligible women can receive the complete amount of Rs 13500 directly into their account.
BISP and SBP partner to make payments transparent
At a recent meeting, State Bank Governor Jameel Ahmed and Senator Rubina Khalid discussed how to improve the payment process for beneficiaries. Their partnership’s goal is to streamline stipend distribution to program beneficiaries.
Why was there a meeting with SBP?
Rubina Khalid has taken significant steps to address complaints and corruption issues in BISP payments. The focus was on improving the old payment system to ensure that current and new beneficiaries can easily receive all their installments.
The meeting’s goal was to create a more efficient and transparent method of distributing installments to deserving women. During the debate, Rubina stated the commitment of the President and Prime Minister to creating a fair payment system for low-income women.
BISP Distributes Kafaalat Payments Via The New Banking System
Beneficiaries can expect access to an upgraded payment system. This time, they are partnering with not just one bank, but six banks that ensure complete and timely monthly payments without deductions.
Rubina explained that this new structure leverages these banks’ resources to provide better financial assistance to eligible women.

The SBP Governor assured that the State Bank and BISP are working closely to establish an efficient payment distribution process. The aim of this partnership is to make sure that beneficiaries receive their payments honestly and respectfully.
