The Punjab government has started distributing Kisan cards across the province and has set up 134 agriculture centers in each tehsil. The objective of this initiative is to facilitate farmers’ registration in Punjab and enable them to receive financial assistance worth crores of rupees. After completing the registration process, applicants will receive a confirmation message instructing them to collect their card from the designated center.

As the distribution of Kisan cards is in process, thousands of applicants are visiting these centers for verification and collecting their cards. The Punjab government encourages farmers to visit their local centers to register for the card and receive crop subsidies and loans.
The Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz set up these centers in the Agriculture Tehsil offices in each tehsil so that eligible farmers can get their cards easily.
A step-by-step guide to receiving your Kisan card from these agricultural centers
Eligible farmers can follow these 5 simple steps to register for the Punjab Kisan Card at their Agriculture Tehsil office:
- Go to the designated center at Agriculture Tehsil office.
- Once your card is ready, you will receive a confirmation message on your phone.
- Go to the center mentioned in the message with your CNIC.
- Collect your Kisan Card from the Bank of Punjab staff.
- Activate your card at the same center.
Eligibility for Punjab Kisan Card
Here’s what you need to do to apply for a Kisan Card:
- Must own land larger than 12.5 acres.
- The land must be registered with the relevant authorities.
- Farmers must register their ID card and mobile SIM number.
- The government will verify the farmer’s identity through NADRA.
- There should be no financial default. After six months of timely interest-free loan payments, the farmer will be eligible for a loan for the next crop.

Procedure To Check Your Kisan Card Status
To check your Kisan Card’s status, follow these four steps:
- Open the message inbox on your mobile phone.
- Write your 13-digit CNIC number along with the message “PKC [space]”.
- Send the message to 8070.
- Wait for a response indicating the status of your card.
