The Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) continues to support eligible families with an unconditional cash transfer every three months. The program is actively working to include more people to make it easier for eligible families to join the Kafaalat Programme.
BISP Chairperson Visits the Zonal Office in Skardu, Gilgit
Senator Rubina Khalid, BISP Chairperson, visited the Skardu BISP zonal office, where she interacted with the beneficiaries and provided guidance on the new payment structure. She clarified that the registration process is free of charge and encouraged eligible people to register without any worries. She also announced an increase in the upcoming BISP Kafalat payment amounts.

During her visit, Rubina Khalid took the time to listen to the regional beneficiaries’ problems and offer advice on how to resolve them. She focused on the need to take immediate action to address these issues and make sure that eligible women get the desired assistance.
Clarification About the Official BISP Messaging Code
At the Dynamic Registration Center in the Skardu office, Rubina Khalid stated that there is no registration fee for the Benazir Income Support Program. She also stated that 8171 is the only official messaging number for BISP communication, not 7181, and recommended reporting any issues by contacting the BISP department on 0800-26477.

Announcement of an Increase in Benazir Kafalat Payments
Speaking to the media, Rubina Khalid announced that BISP is working to increase monthly Kafalat payments for beneficiaries. The Kafaalat Scheme’s goal is to increase household eligibility and benefit payments. The President and Prime Minister of Pakistan have introduced a new banking system to ensure the dignified and transparent distribution of payments to deserving women.
She mentioned that the mobile registration vans will help eligible people register in rural areas.

Senator Khalid told the media that she organized her visit to educate eligible women about the challenges they face. Many women still experience payment delays due to minor errors when registering for the BISP 8171 scheme. This visit was intended to assist these women in avoiding such issues.
She repeated that the Benazir Income Support Programme, inspired by the vision of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, is dedicated to the economic empowerment of women. The Taleemi Wazaif, Benazir Kafaalat, and Nashonuma programs play an important role in improving the lives of low-income families.

BISP Launched a Skill Training Programme for Beneficiaries
