The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) recently conducted a survey in Tehsil offices, reaching thousands of people and collecting data on nearly 90% of the population. This data is now an essential resource for government institutions and agencies, helping them provide assistance programs and enroll the poorest families in various government schemes.
90% of Pakistan’s Population Covered by NSER Dynamic Survey
BISP Tehsil offices conducted the National Socio-Economic Register (NSER) survey in all districts and regions of Pakistan. In partnership with the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA), BISP has also launched mobile registration services for vans in remote areas, providing registration to eligible women and issuing CNICs to needy women.
According to BISP Director, thanks to the new NSER dynamic survey, 8171 Benazir Income Support Programme now has data on more than 90% of the population. This updated survey, which began in 2021, is currently being updated through dynamic enrollment to make sure that the most up-to-date information is collected to finalize the list of beneficiaries.
What is the NSER Survey’s objective in Pakistan?
The NSER survey collects data from poor women to evaluate their poverty measurement (PMT) scores. Families with PMT scores below 30 are eligible for the Benazir Kafaalat Payment. The list of beneficiaries will not include those with scores above 30.
