President Asif Ali Zardari recently announced the expansion of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP). This move will enable an additional 7 lac women to benefit from this Kafaalat scheme, thus enabling more needy families to benefit from this initiative.
The registration process is already underway at the Tehsil offices across the country where the BISP team is working to register new participants. If you have applied for the program, you can check your CNIC status online through service 8171.
Asif Zardari wants to expand the scope of BISP by registering 7 lac new women
Senator Rubina Khalid, Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Programme, confirmed that the program is being developed in line with President Zardari’s vision. Currently, 9.3 million families are benefiting from it and international organizations like the World Bank and Asian Development Bank are praising the transparency of the program. Senator Khalid stressed that the main objective is to ensure that all beneficiaries receive their financial support with dignity.
BISP to add 7 lac new women in the program
As per the new plan, 7 lac more women will join the Benazir Kafalat scheme under the BISP initiative. If you are not yet registered, now is the time to visit the nearest Tehsil center and complete the required survey.
Benazir Kafaalat: 700,000 new registrations open now
Women eligible for the Benazir Kafalat scheme can now register. First, verify your CNIC on the BISP website. If you are eligible, visit the nearest Tehsil BISP office to complete your survey. The new registration process also allows beneficiaries to register their phone numbers to receive payment notifications directly.

BISP Chairperson Rubina Khalid Instructions for Beneficiaries
At a public event in Gulli Bagh, Senator Rubina Khalid highlighted the Benazir Taleemi Wazaif scheme scholarships that focus on supporting girls’ education. She also spoke about the Benazir Nashonuma Initiative, which provides financial assistance and nutritious meals to pregnant women and young children. In addition, a special skills program will be introduced to further support low-income families.
Senator Khalid narrated how Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto laid the foundation of this program during her exile in Dubai, with the objective of economically empowering women in Pakistan. He also assured the participants that there are no fees to register or receive the services.
