The Government has made it easy and simple for students to apply for the Punjab Honhaar initiative online through its official website. Just follow these 5 simple steps to register for the CM Honehar Scholarship Scheme:

  1. The online application form is available at https://honhaarscholarship.punjabhec.gov.pk/.
  2. Applicants are required to submit academic transcripts, proof of residency in Punjab and financial documents.
  3. The shortlisting will be based on financial need and academic performance.
  4. Shortlisted candidates may be called for interviews as part of the final selection process.

Eligibility Criteria for Honhaar Program Scholarship

The requirements for the Honhar program scholarship are simple, making it accessible to many students who need financial assistance for their university studies in Punjab. Here’s what you need to know to be eligible:

  • Students from public universities pursuing a bachelor’s degree in science are eligible.
  • Students enrolled in eight selected private universities are eligible to receive a 100 percent scholarship.
  • The selection is based on merit only.

Applications Open for 30,000 Annual Scholarships

University students from Punjab can now apply for the Honehar Scholarship Scheme. It will ensure that talented people will get higher education by providing scholarships to 30,000 deserving students in 68 different fields every year.

List of Colleges and Universities Included

Students from the following institutions are eligible for the annual merit scholarship:

  • 50 public sector universities
  • 16 medical colleges
  • 131 graduate colleges
  • Top private universities selected

In the next four years, about 120,000 students should receive financial assistance, and in eight years, the total value of scholarships should reach Rs 130 billion.

Honehar Scholarship Programme Launched

At the launch, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said she had fulfilled a promise she made during her first speech to the government. She termed the launch of the Honhar Scholarship Program a significant achievement and emphasized that talented students would no longer have to face financial hurdles in getting higher education.

Maryam Nawaz added that the program will help Pakistan’s youth achieve their dreams by providing them with quality education and promising career opportunities. “I am committed to empowering our youth and securing their future,” she said.
