The Punjab government has initiated a new registration process through the Punjab Social and Economic Register (PSER). Instructions have been given to individuals to complete their registration.
Chief Minister of Punjab Ms. Maryam Nawaz announced that those registered through the Union Council will have access to all government assistance schemes. PSER applicants will not have to register multiple times to avail the benefits of any assistance initiative.

This article describes the complete step-by-step guide to register with PSER.
Step 1: Head of Household Details
- First, fill up the form on the portal with the required details.
- After entering the information, click on the “Register Now” button.
- On the next page, another registration form will appear where you need to enter your basic information.
- Once this form is filled, click on the “Save and Continue” button to save the information provided.
- On the next page, you will be required to enter the contact details of the head of the household.
- Enter the name of the head of the household and your national ID number and then click on the green “Save and Continue” button.

Step 2: Family List Information
- You will then be taken to a page where you will be required to provide personal details about your family.
- Select your gender by clicking on the “male” or “female” option.
- Next, enter your date of birth and marital status by selecting “married” or “single”. At this point, provide all the relevant health information.
- If you have any physical disability, please indicate the same in the form.
- After entering all the health details, click on the “Save and Continue” option to proceed.
Step 3: Contact Information
- On the next page, it is mandatory to provide your contact details.
- Here you will enter details like the name of your department, district, city, and union council.
- Also, provide the address of the nearest post office. This will ensure that any communication from the Government of Punjab can be sent to this address.
- Also, provide your email address and mobile number.
- Make sure to enter your mobile number and the mobile network associated with it. It is advisable to provide two or more mobile numbers to ensure reachability, especially if one number is unreachable. All mobile numbers must be registered in your name.
- After completing the contact information section, click on the “Save and Continue” button to move to the next part of the application.

Apply Online for the PSER Program vVia the Web Portal
In the past, the PSER registration process involved door-to-door visits to the homes of Punjab residents. Now, the Government of Punjab has made it easier for struggling households by introducing an online PSER portal. You can complete your application from the comfort of your home, provided you have a stable internet connection and a smartphone. Here’s how you can apply:
- Visit the official PSER portal at pser.punjab.gov.pk.
- Click on the “Register” button.
- Fill in your basic details, including your full name, CNIC number, mobile number, and email address.
- Create a strong password and click “Next.”
- Verify your mobile number by entering the code sent to your phone.
- Click “Confirm.”
- Complete the registration form with your details, including your name, the head of the family’s name and CNIC, date of birth, marital status, educational and employment status, and income.
- Click “Next.”
- Add information about your family members, such as their names, CNIC numbers, and dates of birth.
- Provide your current residential address.
- Answer eligibility questions regarding homeownership, number of rooms, etc.
- Click “Submit” to finish the registration.
- Log in using your CNIC number and password to access your account.
After your registration, you can wait to confirm your eligibility.
Eligibility Requirements for PSER
The Government of Punjab has certain eligibility requirements for citizens to qualify for government subsidies:
- The applicant must be a resident of Pakistan.
- The family should be low-income.
- Monthly income must be less than household expenses.
- Applicants receiving money from programs like Benazir Kafaalat or Bahimat Buzurg Program are not eligible.
- The applicant should not own a vehicle, business, or property.
- No family member should be a government employee.
- The PMT score must be 30 or lower.
