The program began distributing livestock to 11,000 worthy women on Sunday with the 2 billion rupees allocated budget. This initiative provides moral and financial assistance to eligible women in southern Punjab.

CM Maryam Nawaz started the Dhi Rani program to empower rural women in southern Punjab. The Maryam Nawaz program will disburse cows, buffaloes, and goats to eligible widows and divorcees so that they become self-sufficient.

The Dhi Rani Scheme officially began on November 17, and now only selected districts in the region are being considered.

Registration for Free Livestock Farming Closed on November 16

Women from 12 districts had the chance to register for this program between November 1 and 16. According to the Chief Minister, a large number of eligible women applied, showing the widespread need and interest in the program.

Here’s the list of 12 districts, and only applicants from these regions are eligible to apply for the livestock distribution program:

Punjab to Financially Support Poor Widows and Divorcees in South Region

The livestock distribution program will help women in remote villages achieve financial stability. By selling milk or raising livestock for sale, these women can create sustainable sources of income to feed their families and children.

Increment in Milk And Meat Production

Beyond individual benefits, this initiative will also help increase milk and meat production across Punjab, thereby contributing to the growth of the agricultural industry.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has stated that women’s economic welfare is one of the top priorities of her government. She believes that this project will create many income-generating opportunities and enable rural women to get financial independence.
