We are happy to inform you that Ms. Maryam Nawaz has launched the E-Bike Scheme. Students currently pursuing courses in Punjab can get these electric bikes. To avail this opportunity, you must register as soon as possible. A total of 25,000 electric bikes will be distributed to students.

After the registration deadline, it will no longer be possible to purchase an electric bike. Students from families with limited financial resources can also benefit from this scheme.

Inform the bank representative that you are a student from a low-income family and provide the required documents to prove your eligibility. Once you qualify, you will be registered and can receive a bike.

Electric Bike Guidelines for Installment Payment

The payment guidelines of this scheme are simple. The government is offering petrol and electric bikes with fixed monthly payments. For electric bikes, the monthly payment is Rs 10,000 per month, and for petrol bikes, Rs 5,000 per month.

Lottery and Distribution of bikes

All eligible candidates will be given equal opportunities and the distribution process will be fair and transparent. Distribution is expected to begin around six months after the draw, which is scheduled for May 2024. The application will be available before Eid al-Fitr and on the directive of CM Maryam Nawaz, the data will be available immediately.

Prime Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has authorized the Punjab government to introduce electric bikes for students in a phased manner. At a meeting in Lahore, a plan was drawn up to provide more than 20,000 bicycles and e-bikes. Petrol motorcycles will also be made available to the public through interest-free loans. Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif attended the meeting, which focused on developing and maintaining transport infrastructure for students across the state.
