Good news for all women who have joined the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) and are eligible for Benazir Kafaalat and Taleemi Wazaif payments. BISP announced a plan to distribute free smartphones to beneficiaries with the goal of increasing transparency in the payment process and making it easier for women to receive payments.
Only eligible women will get free smartphones through the BISP Program
The new initiative will equip women receiving financial assistance through BISP with smartphones. We are taking this step to assist women who currently lack internet or phone access, enabling them to stay connected and conveniently receive their payments.
The Social Security Program’s head stated that this effort aims to ensure that payments reach the BISP program members with respect and transparency.
Collaboration between JazzCash and BISP for Payments Processing
Recently, a delegation from JazzCash, including Chief Strategy Officer Ali Naseer and Vice President Corporate Affairs Ibrar Khan, met Senator Rubina Khalid, Chairperson of BISP.
The new Chairperson, Rubina Khalid, is focusing on streamlining the disbursement process to make sure that poor women receive their complete compensation without any issues. During the meeting, they discussed how providing mobile phones to women could empower them both financially and technologically.
BISP Strategic Planning for Digital Empowerment
The JazzCash team exchanged ideas on possible joint ventures during the meeting. BISP officials requested them to develop a detailed strategy to digitally empower the beneficiaries.
Ms. Khalid mentioned that the Prime Minister and the President had asked them to take steps to provide relief to the beneficiaries and make sure transparency in the payment transfer system.
