Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz appreciated the dedication of the students who achieved top positions in the nine education boards of the province by distributing major scholarship awards and recognitions. In addition, he announced the CM Scholarship which will cover the entire tuition fees of these students, irrespective of where they choose to pursue their studies.

At the ‘Leaders of Tomorrow Awards 2024’ ceremony held at the CM’s office, Maryam Nawaz praised the hard work of the best students and acknowledged their achievements. The event was accompanied by a special guard of honor held by Punjab Police officials for the students.

In his speech, he revealed that the 138 brightest students in Punjab would get free education through the CM Scholarship Awards Scheme. In a ceremony to honor the best students, the Chief Minister presented certificates of appreciation and rewards totaling Rs 58.6 million to 138 students of Punjab’s nine education boards. The event was resounding with applause as students celebrated the recognition for their hard work and dedication.

CM Laptop Scheme and new buses relaunched in Punjab

Maryam Nawaz also announced the return of the laptop scheme, which aims to equip students with essential tools for their education. In addition, he shared plans to provide 61 buses for people who lack transportation facilities. He emphasized the value of these high-performing students and called them “the crowns of our heads”. He also launched a new initiative to provide milk to K-5 students in classrooms.

Some details of the Leaders of Tomorrow Awards Ceremony 2024

The ceremony was a proud moment where the Punjab Police Band paid tribute to the office bearers. Maryam Nawaz personally congratulated the students and expressed her admiration for their achievements. A documentary film highlighting the students’ views on the Prime Minister’s educational initiatives was also screened at the event.

Provincial Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat noted that many of these students are from the middle class and may not have had this opportunity without fair examinations. He highlighted that a student from Danish School Mianwali was given the first position in the Lahore Board and stressed that Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz is implementing major reforms in the education sector to revive public schools.
