Recently, Rubina Khalid, Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Program, appeared on a television program to discuss important issues and new changes to improve the efficiency and transparency of the BISP payment process. She stated the transition to a computerised payment system will make cash disbursement smoother and more transparent.
BISP Transition to a Computerised Payment System for 9.3 Million Beneficiaries
Senator Rubina Khalid explained that BISP has now digitised its payment mechanism, which will improve transparency and minimise the risk of payment deductions for beneficiaries. The program now uses detailed information about women to ensure that funds reach only eligible people.
Households eligible for quarterly kafalat installments of Rs 13,500 are required to complete a survey so that payments begin as soon as possible.

Benazir Tehsil offices are now conducting the new Benazir dynamic survey using national identity cards. NADRA and other authorities such as the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) instantly verify the details of the 63 survey questions through a completely computerised process. This step of digital verification makes sure that only those who meet the requirements receive assistance, thus preventing ineligible candidates from benefiting.
BISP Verification Process Supported by NADRA
According to Rubina Khalid, NADRA is an essential part of the BISP verification system. We verify the beneficiaries’ data against NADRA records to confirm eligibility. This step shows the need for a Computerised National Identity Card (CNIC) to register for the Benazir Kafaalat.
Importance of Verified National ID Card for BISP New Survey Registration
A CNIC is an important document for Pakistani citizens and women who wish to register with BISP. With a NADRA-verified national ID card, women can easily register at Benazir Tehsil offices and receive Rs 13,500 quarterly installment through the Kafalat scheme.
