PM Shehbaz Sharif launched the Buna-Raast Connectivity Project in Islamabad, a major initiative aimed at streamlining the process of remittances from the Arab world to Pakistan. During the announcement, he also stated another promising initiative that will be launched soon to provide assistance to the people of Pakistan.

At the event, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif highlighted the importance of the Buna Raast Project and described it as a modern way to strengthen Pakistan’s historical ties with the Arab world. The main objective of this project is to facilitate and speed up the transfer of money for Pakistanis living in Arab countries.

He stressed that this is Pakistan’s first real-time cross-border payment system that will make remittances more affordable and accessible.

What are the upcoming initiatives by PM Pakistan

The Prime Minister announced that a five-year economic policy would be announced soon, responding to the current challenges facing the country. The policy has been discussed with key stakeholders over the past few months and is expected to include measures to boost sectors such as information technology and agriculture.

Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, speaking at the event, expressed optimism about improving economic stability in the country. Noting that investor confidence was gradually returning, he stressed that the government is prioritizing structural reforms, particularly in the power and fiscal sectors.

Newly started Apna Ghar Apni Chhat scheme in Punjab

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on Wednesday launched the ‘Apni Chhat Apna Ghar’ housing project. The initiative aims to provide affordable housing with easy application processes and manageable payment plans. The scheme aims to build 100,000 houses across the province in the next four and a half years, with three different implementation strategies.

Residents can apply for the Apna Ghar Apni Chat scheme online or by contacting the Maryam Nawaz office.
