BISP is expanding its assistance network to serve more people in Pakistan, with the government approving an increase in the number of beneficiaries to 1 crore this fiscal year. As a result, new registrations have now been opened across Pakistan through an NSER survey at BISP Tehsil offices. Currently, around 9.3 million people are receiving assistance and the government is looking to extend this assistance to even more people.

To address payment collection issues, especially for people living in “Katchi Abbadis” who have difficulty reaching BISP centers or are unfamiliar with the system, BISP has launched a mobile van registration service in remote areas of Pakistan. The motive of this program is to extend the monthly payment of Rs 10500 from Kafalat to more needy women.

What’s the benefit of this increase to BISP beneficiaries

The federal government has provided BISP with an additional Rs 593 billion, which represents a significant increase in the program budget. This increase will enable BISP to help more people than ever before, reflecting the government’s commitment to reducing poverty and improving the quality of life in Pakistan.

This expansion is particularly beneficial for many families as it demonstrates the government’s significant efforts to reduce poverty and improve living standards. By increasing the number of beneficiaries and simplifying the registration process, more people will be able to get assistance.
