Great news for Punjab families who pay high rent and do not own their own home. Punjab CM has launched the ‘Apna Ghar Apni Chat’ scheme. This initiative provides eligible families an opportunity to apply for a home on more than three acres of land where they can settle permanently. Applications can be made online or offline. Interest-free loans are available for building a home.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has launched the ‘Apni Chhat Apna Ghar’ housing scheme, which aims to make home ownership more accessible through affordable payment plans. The scheme is expected to provide 100,000 affordable housing units across the province in the next four and a half years.

- Visit the official website: https://acag.punjab.gov.pk/
- Click on the “Register” button on the top left of the page.
- Please fill the application form with accurate information.
- Submit the form to start the registration process.
For those who are not comfortable with online applications, the government has also provided an offline method.

Eligible families for interest-free loans
To qualify for an interest-free loan under this scheme, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- As per NADRA records, he must be the head of the family.
- As per your CNIC, you must be a permanent resident of Punjab.
- You must own land of 5 marla or less in urban areas or up to 10 marla in rural areas of Punjab.
- Must not have a criminal record.
- You must not be a defaulter.
- You must be registered in the National Socio-Economic Register (NSER) and have a household PMT score of 60 or less.

Interest-free loans for low-income families
Maryam Nawaz explained that the loans are to be repaid over a period of seven years with a maximum monthly payment of Rs 14000. No payments are required for the first three months, allowing families to meet expenses such as food, medicines, and tuition fees on their own.
