Maryam Nawaz to Launch New Phase of Laptop Scheme in January 2025

In a ceremony at Punjab University, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif officially launched the ‘Honhaar Scholarship Scheme.’ The event began with a recitation of the Quran followed by a national song and a poem by Allama Iqbal performed by the GC University Musical Society.

During her speech, the Chief Minister announced the second phase of the free laptop scheme that will begin in January. She stated that this program is for eligible students who need essential technology tools to succeed in their studies. She also announced her intention to offer scholarships at top universities to reduce the financial burden on families.

The next phase of the laptop initiative will start in January 2025. Maryam Nawaz confirmed that we will give the scholarships and laptops on the basis of merit and without any preference for political affiliations. She described the program as a way to make the aspirations of deserving students come true.

Interest-free Loans for Young Entrepreneurs by CM Punjab

Maryam Nawaz also announced a new program to help students start businesses by providing loans of up to Rs 1 million. These loans are interest-free and repayable in easy installments so that young people can achieve their goals with peace of mind.

30,000 Merit-based Scholarships for Punjab Students

Reaffirming her commitment to investing in young talent, the Chief Minister, Maryam Nawaz, said that we will award 30,000 scholarships, of which 18,000 are to male students and 12,000 to female students. This comes after the submission of more than 70,000 applications, and we will do the selection purely based on merit.
