Detailed Description of the Ehsaas Program Phase 2

The first phase was successfully completed and the government of Pakistan published the list of beneficiaries of the second phase. Individuals can check their balance by sending an SMS to 8171 or by visiting the 8171 portal and entering their CNIC number. This will allow them to see your financial situation and the amount owed.

Once the payment is ready, recipients can easily collect it. However, to receive funds for the second phase, it is necessary to contact the body designated by the authorities. Women attempting to collect their payment at unauthorized locations may face problems, including getting blocked with error code 938.

Government Own Kafalat Cash Centers for Phase 2 Payments

In response to complaints about deductions by retailers, the government has set up numerous payment centers across Pakistan. The aim of these centers is to facilitate proper and complete disbursement of funds and to ensure that beneficiaries do not face unauthorized deductions. There are currently at least 1,438 such centers across the country. To avoid problems with retailers, it is recommended to use these official centers for payment collection.

To be eligible for Ehsaas Program Phase 2 payments, the following criteria must be met:

  • Women with a poverty score below 32 are eligible.
  • Widows with a PMT score of 35 or less are eligible.
  • Women with PMT score more than 35 are not eligible.
  • Families with monthly income less than Rs 20,000 are eligible.
  • Unemployed and disabled people can also enroll.
  • Women who meet these criteria need to verify their eligibility and if eligible, proceed with collection of their payments.

  • Before going to the cashier, check if the payment has been credited to your account.
  • Take your original ID card with you.
  • Go to the nearest payment center.
  • Wait in the queue for your turn.
  • Provide your ID card for biometric verification.
  • Once the verification is successful, you can withdraw the amount owed.
  • You will receive a receipt detailing the total amount withdrawn, including the Benazir Kafalat and Benazir Taleemi Wazaif amounts.
