Hiring More Than 7,300 Interns to Teach in Punjab Govt Colleges
The Punjab Govt achieved a major milestone with the hiring of 7,354 internee teachers in government colleges in Punjab. We will fill these intern positions completely on a merit basis to help young teachers gain experience in their careers while contributing to the education system.
Stipend of Rs 50,000 for 8 Months For Internees
The Higher Education internship program offers more than just an opportunity to develop teaching experience. We will give each intern a healthy stipend of Rs 50,000 per month for 8 months to cover their living expenses.
According to Punjab Higher Education Secretary Dr. Farrukh Naveed, the interns will continue teaching in government colleges until the end of the academic session on March 31, 2025. This initiative not only assists new teachers but also meets the teaching staff needs of the colleges.
E-Transfer Policy for 962 Teachers Registration
Dr. Naveed also added the successful implementation of the e-transfer policy that assisted the shifting and posting of 962 college teachers. The E-transfer policy system makes sure a fair and transparent process by which teachers receive their transfer orders via an online web portal. In all CM Punjab’s internship initiatives, Maryam Nawaz wants to improve the educational system of the province and create more job opportunities for youth.

Distribution of 40,000 Laptops for Students
In another positive development, CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif announced the distribution of 40,000 Core i7 laptops to eligible students under the Honhaar Scholarship and Chief Minister’s Laptop Scheme. The first 5,000 laptops will be distributed in the next 30 days, and the remaining 35,000 will be distributed in February 2025.
