On Friday, November 1, CM Maryam Nawaz officially launched the Punjab Green Tractor Scheme by conducting a digital balloting in Lahore. The lucky draw selected 9,500 farmers from 1.5 million candidates. The scheme will provide a subsidy of Rs 1 million per tractor to farmers owning between 1 and 50 acres of land. Locally manufactured tractors, including models from Millat Tractor (Massey Ferguson) and New Holland Al-Ghazi, are part of this initiative.
