Launched by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the Mahfooz Punjab Program will provide basic services and assistance to deserving people across the province. This initiative includes several schemes aimed at improving the lives of the poor in Punjab.
CM Punjab Solar Panel Distribution Project
Key projects include distributing solar panels to farmers and low-income people who consume more than 300 units of electricity. The objective of this initiative is to reduce the financial burden on households and make electricity more affordable. In addition, the government has introduced cleaning vehicles to improve sanitation across the province.
The Mahfooz Punjab initiative also included the launch of the Nigehban Programme, which provides free food to the needy during Ramadan. The initiative’s other programs include price control measures, the provision of electric bikes, scholarships, and the construction of new hospitals.
Solar panels for farmers and poor people
The Chief Minister has announced the provision of solar panels under monthly installment plans for individuals who consume more than 300 units of electricity. This initiative will provide cheaper electricity and reduce costs for families facing high energy bills.
Nigehban Programme
In her speech, Maryam Nawaz presented details of the Nigehban scheme, which provides for the delivery of food rations to poor families during Ramadan. The government ensures that families receive assistance at their doorsteps so that they can enjoy Eid with dignity.
Formation of Price Control Committee
To combat inflation during Ramadan, the Chief Minister announced plans to set up affordable markets and form a price control committee. This committee will monitor the vendors and take action against price gouging.
Sanitation and Purification in Punjab
Maryam Nawaz also introduced a new fleet of vehicles to improve sanitation measures in Punjab. We anticipate that these vehicles will ensure cleaner streets and enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of morning cleaning.
Health Card Initiative
Residents will soon receive health cards under the Mahfooz Punjab Program, providing them with monthly access to free medical treatment. The objective of this initiative is to make access to healthcare easier for needy people.
E-bike Distribution for Students
To support students, the government plans to provide electric bikes at affordable prices to help them get to school or university.
Scholarship Program
Punjab students will receive scholarships to lessen the financial burden of education. This will help families finance their children’s education, allowing more students to continue their education despite rising costs.
Development of New Hospitals
Maryam Nawaz also announced plans to build new hospitals across the province, like Nawaz Sharif Cancer Hospital. These facilities will provide basic health services, including emergency care, ensuring better health outcomes for the poor. Through the Mahfooz Punjab program, the government is taking important steps to improve the quality of life for the people of Punjab.
