The Punjab government has launched a new initiative to make life easier for the people – online approval of building plans by the Lahore Development Authority (LDA). This step addresses the challenges that people faced in the past while seeking approval for a housing project. Thanks to the efforts of the Punjab Chief Minister, it is now possible to register a building plan online through the official website of the LDA.
Maryam Nawaz Launch Online web portal for Punjab Residential Building Plan
The Lahore Development Authority, in collaboration with Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, has launched an online building plan approval system. This system allows residents to get approval without having to visit the LDA office in person.
The Chief Minister praised the LDA for implementing this digital process that makes everything from payment to uploading plans to approvals easier. In case there is any problem with the submitted plan, it can be downloaded online, corrected, and re-uploaded.
What’s the process to register your building plan online
Registering your building plan is simple and easy and can be done on the official LDA website or through the LDA mobile app, which you can visit from any smartphone.
Here’s how to register:
- Visit the official Lahore Development Authority website: https://lda.gop.pk/website/
- On the right side of the home page, you will see several options; Click on “LDA Portal”.
- A new page will open with various options. Select “Building Plan Approval”.
- This will take you to the main registration page.
- Start your registration by clicking on “Register”.
- In case you face any difficulties, the LDA mobile app will provide you with clear instructions to help you out.

Maryam Nawaz wants to make Punjab digital
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has emphasized her commitment to digitization of Punjab government institutions with the objective of getting rid of dependence on filing records. She described the rapid progress in the LDA’s digital transformation to help people avoid corruption and evade the spy mafia.
