The Benazir Income Support Program supports millions of people across Pakistan under the BISP 12500 Kafalat Program. However, many areas still do not have access to the internet, so many are unaware of the program’s existence. To fill this gap, the new BISP President has launched 18 satellite vans in 18 districts of Balochistan. These vans will conduct NSER surveys and register eligible families in remote areas.

What’s the reason behind starting satellite vans in Balochistan

The need for satellite vans has become evident as many people in remote areas of Balochistan struggle to access BISP benefits. Challenges such as the lack of computerized birth certificates and Form B in areas such as Mashkilal, Driji, and Kinraj have deterred some from enrolling in the program. Senator Rubina Khalid stressed that these vans are essential to overcome these barriers and reach underserved populations.
