Who can benefit: Scholarships for 25,000 students across Punjab

During the meeting, it was decided that awards will be given to students who have achieved the highest positions in the education boards of Punjab. In addition, 25,000 students from various boards will get free education through scholarships from the Punjab government.

The government allocates over Rs 125 billion annually for this initiative, which aims to reduce the financial burden on families and encourage students to pursue their studies with enthusiasm.

Are there any rewards for teachers

The initiative is not limited to students. Teachers who have contributed significantly to the success of their students will also be recognized. As part of this recognition, one of the best-performing teachers from each school will receive an award.

Punjab Govt started transportation system for female students

The Chief Minister also launched a special transportation scheme for female students to address their mobility issues. Initially, buses will be provided to 60 girls’ colleges in Punjab to make the journey of these students easier and safer.

The meeting also stressed the importance of reviving the laptop procurement scheme and recognized the potential of young people in the IT sector. Punjab Government plans to establish IT hubs

Key figures present at the meeting included Provincial Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat, Provincial Chief Minister Maryam Aurangzeb, Principal Secretary Sajid Zafar Dal, Principal Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman and Minister for Higher Education Dr Farrukh Naveed.
