Distribution of 10,00,000 laptops, mobiles, and other devices among students

At a special event organized by the Prime Minister’s Youth Program (PMYM) to mark International Youth Day, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the government’s commitment to youth empowerment. He announced that the federal government would distribute one million mobile phones, tablets, and laptops to the country’s top students.

Increasing Pakistan’s economy through youth empowerment

The Prime Minister stressed his belief that with adequate resources and modern education, the youth have the potential to take Pakistan to new heights. He highlighted his efforts so far in providing state-of-the-art facilities to students of Danish schools and shared his vision of equipping talented youth with modern education, information technology, and artificial intelligence. The aim is to spark a transformation in Pakistan similar to the progress made in China.

Which region will receive the 10,00,000 laptops, tablets, and mobiles

The Prime Minister outlined the first phase of this initiative, which will focus on the best students from Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, and remote areas of Balochistan. In addition, each province has its own student empowerment programs.

Eligible students for PM 1 million laptops and mobiles

No specific eligibility criteria for the program have been set so far. However, the main objective is to improve educational opportunities and motivate students to excel in their studies. Top students with good grades can apply through the contact person designated by their college.

Shehbaz Sharif Major initiative to empower youth and grow the economy

Shehbaz Sharif also expressed his commitment to personally fund the training of one thousand Chinese agriculture graduates and equip them with advanced tools to boost agricultural production. Huawei has committed to providing higher education and IT training to 200,000 youth. The Prime Minister plans to announce a comprehensive development plan for the country on August 14.

He also launched several key projects including the AI ​​for Youth program that offers Intel-certified skills, the PM Green Youth Movement, the Digital Learning Portal, and the Commonwealth Youth Alliance Secretariat in Islamabad.
