Punjab will benefit from a major initiative as Maryam Nawaz launches her 50,000 free solar panel distribution scheme for eligible families today, August 14, 2024. Approved in a recent cabinet meeting, the scheme aims to provide free electricity to families in the coming years.
Punjab’s latest update on the distribution of 50,000 free solar panels
In a meeting in Lahore, it was confirmed that solar panels will be distributed to those who meet the criteria of the Punjab Solar Panel Scheme. Registration for this initiative begins today, August 14. BenazirKafaalat.pk
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif chose Independence Day to start distributing these solar panels. The Punjab government has completed all the necessary preparations and the distribution process through local banks is already underway.
Method to check the status of solar panel distribution through the 8800 SMS service
Interested persons can check their eligibility by sending their bill reference number and ID card number to 8800. The selected candidates will be informed through SMS after a random draw organized by PITB. The details provided by these candidates will then be verified by the district administration and DPOs.

Verification for Punjab Solar Panel Scheme
To qualify for the CM Punjab Roshan Gharana Scheme 2024, you must:
- Be of Pakistani nationality.

- Be the owner of the land where the solar panels are to be installed or have the consent of the owner.
