Update 8171 New Changes in the BISP Payment System

What are the new Changes in BISP payments

The payment process under BISP will soon change. The current payment of Rs 10500 will be discontinued and all unclaimed payments must be collected by August 10, 2024. Failure to meet this deadline will result in the payment being forfeited as this is the last chance to collect these payments.

The government of Pakistan and BISP have confirmed that payments after this date will not be processed as per the existing cycle.

How about the BISP new payment system

With the change in financial partners, new institutions such as JazzCash, EasyPaisa, Punjab Bank and Habib Bank Limited will process Benazir Kafaalat payments. The objective of this change is to make the payment process smoother and more accessible for the beneficiaries. Payments to people currently under survey or part of a new survey are expected to restart soon.

Clarification of Benazir Income Support Program eligibility scores

There has been some confusion regarding the eligibility score changes. The score required to withdraw remains at 32. Despite rumors, there has been no reduction to 25 or 20. People with a score of 31 will continue to receive payments and remain in the program.

Payment updates in different regions

In regions such as Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Azad Jammu & Kashmir, the payment process has already been halted, meaning residents of those regions will no longer be able to withdraw payments. In Punjab, Balochistan, and Sindh, payments can be withdrawn until August 9, 2024. After that date, the payment system will be completely shut down, so it is important to check payment status immediately to avoid switching sides.
