One of the major updates to the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) affects beneficiaries who have registered but are now no longer eligible for payments. These people will have to wait for the next biennial survey to reassess their eligibility. The next survey will be in 2026.

If you are not eligible but want to check or update your information, you can do so only to correct missing data.

News BISP conducts the next survey

BISP to start the next survey for ineligible people

In an online meeting on August 5, BISP Director General Naveed Akbar addressed the concerns of many beneficiaries, including questions related to the lock-in status or code 933. He advised those affected to remain patient as eligible people will be re-entered into the programme between September and November.

Ineligible people can update their details at the Tehsil office, but if this does not clear their status, they will have to wait until the 2026 survey to reapply. BenazirKafaalat.pk

In the recent online meeting, DG Akbar suggested that people like the person whose wife was receiving Kafalat payments should visit the BISP Tehsil Center to check for any errors. If an error is found, payments can be resumed.

  3. Explain your issue to a representative at another table.
  4. Provide updated information and request a change of phone number.
  5. The representative will verify your identity and ask you a few questions.
  6. Once the verification is complete, your new phone number will be saved.
