Reason for suspension of payments to KPK

The DG explained that payments will be suspended after August 9 as the contract between the bank and BISP for payments from April to June will expire. For subsequent payments, a new agreement will be entered into with other banks, allowing beneficiaries to access the funds through a CNIC 8171 cheque.

What’s their impact on other provinces

In other provinces, including Sindh, Punjab, and Balochistan, payments will continue. The contract termination applies only to KPK, so eligible women in these regions will continue to receive their payments.

KPK beneficiaries must collect their money by August 9; otherwise, the BISP Kafalat money will be refunded to them and they will lose this payment.
