Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz has started a new scholarship program aimed at supporting successful students in the province. The program, with a budget of 25 billion rupees, will provide free lifelong education to high-performing students from all nine education boards of Punjab, enabling them to study wherever they want.
Maryam Nawaz Announces 25 Billion Rupee Scholarship Fund for Students
At a recent awards ceremony on August 20 in Lahore, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz announced the launch of this scholarship program, supported by an investment of 25 billion rupees.
During the event, the Chief Minister congratulated the position-holder students of Punjab education boards, along with their parents and teachers, and appreciated their achievements despite challenges such as limited infrastructure and resources in the province.

On Tuesday, Maryam Nawaz attended the Leaders of Tomorrow Awards 2024 ceremony at the CM’s office, where she recognized the hard work of the best students. Punjab police officers even offered a guard of honor to the students as part of the event.
In her speech, Maryam Nawaz announced that 138 of the best students of the province will benefit from free education under this scholarship scheme. The Punjab government will completely cover your tuition fees, regardless of where you choose to study.

What are the names of the universities where these students can get free scholarships
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz also launched a scholarship scheme worth Rs 25 billion that will enable talented students to attend leading universities like LUMS, Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute, IBA, COMSATS, FAST, and others. The Punjab government will cover all the tuition fees of these students.
CM Punjab plans to transform the education system in the next five years
She shared plans to transform the province’s education system in the next five years and stressed the government’s commitment to improve the quality of education in public schools. A milk feeding programme to meet nutritional needs will be launched in schools from September 5, where students from kindergarten to fifth grade will be provided with milk packets. The pilot phase of this programme will be implemented in South Punjab.
